Hi, I’m Whipper and I’m a Maui’s dolphin. There are only about 111 of us left in the world. One of our biggest dangers is set netting by fisherman so I try to keep away from them – especially around Taranaki where there is no protection for us. Unfortunately the nets can be very hard to see and some of my family have been caught in them before. I can swim really really fast, especially when I’m hunting for food. Finn says he can swim faster than me but I don’t think so!
