Hi, I’m Sally. I’m a Hector’s Dolphin and I live off the coast of Banks Peninsula in the South Island of New Zealand. Although this is a protected area, I have to be careful not to swim out too far and beyond the protected area where I might get caught in fishermen’s nets. I love playing with my other dolphin friends but sometimes I also like to be on my own. Then I give a big tail slap to warn other dolphins to stay away.
